mine are killing, its like walking on a pebble beach without shoes... ouch!

I spent 8 hours walking around central London yesterday with a massive backback on which weighed a ton.
Wifes parents are over from Germany so had to do the tourist thing, i hate it :-(

Today i am doing nothing just so my flare up will go down, whilst the others are out shopping again.

Try a nice very warm footbath, that will help :-)

regards

Paul

Hi KayJay! My feet are absolute agony all the time especially my left foot. I have very little movemoment in it and it has swollen lumps on it on top of the regulare swelling. They are even agony to slip on my slippers :-(((( If I don't keep them nearly all day I can hardly walk. Paul you did very well walking round London all day yesterday, I couldn't even entertain doing anything like that? Go Well!

Mine just sort of hurt all over and feel like they are swelling up - even the toes. My ankles go like balloons and underneath on the soles there are like pockets or lumps that are squishy - sorry probably too much info !! Been shopping today [ no car so have to use the bus ] and I have just sort of dragged my feet - must have looked like a zombie. Got in - collapsed on my bed and couldn't move for about half an hour. My hands/back/hips/neck/shoulders hurt - is this what they call a flare ??

Sorry Paul - will have to try that. What I usually have to do to ease the pain is to use one of those heated [ in the microwave ] pillows and then a cold desk fan !! Crazy I know but it seems to ease it a bit alternating hot + cold ????

I do have Diabetes as well so I'm always worried that it's something to do with that although the Diabetic nurse says I have good circulation in them. My Dads Mum had Diabetes as well [ but years ago ] and she had to have both bottom parts of her legs amputated due to Diabetic Neuropathy [ I think they call it ]. Poor soul she really was an angel but that's why I'm a bit paranoid about me old dogs [ feet ].

Thanks Lynn B. I've been on Plaquenil since beginning of March so weren't expecting things to get worse :0(

It's funny though because I have had to stop the Iron tablets and it seems from then I've felt worse ? Could be coincidence ??

"like walking on pebbles on the beach" - good description !!

Find the only thing I can wear on feet are Crocs most of the time.

Have a couple of pairs of Rieker shoes if I need to look abit tidier.

i had to buy Ecco shoes for work, expensive but do the trick and very comfy.
Whilst at work i take my shoes off and let my feet breath, otherwise they swell up and i have too hobble back home on my commute.

Well I don't know what shoes I will be able to wear for my Daughters Wedding next month. The only comfy ones are lace up's Skater type trainers - don't think they will work with a posh outfit !! I've got some Hotter flat shoes but I'm still not convinced they will be comfy enough. I have to wear an Orthotic lace up ankle brace as well and it's impossible to wear any " pretty " shoes with that. Doh !!

BTW - I got one of those Homedics foot electric massager contraptions ages ago. Tried it on Friday night and it was bliss. Seemed to get all the "knotted" feelings out on the soles of my feet. Will give it another go tonight - been in town shopping - again.

I have been suffering from painful feet for the last couple of years, slowly getting worse. I was advised to find some shoes with more rigid soles and with a rocker bottom. Found some on Monday called Therashoe at Sports Direct and can already feel the difference. They are meant to spread out the weight distribution and improve your posture (also tone your bum etc - bonus). Look a bit like platform trainers, but hey, if they work who cares! I would highly recommend them to anyone with painful feet. Only 5 days in and I can already walk twice the distance without pain. :-)
