I'm a very lucky chap 'cos I have four Golden Retriever dogs.

Am currently, and for the foreseeable future, unable to work, but the one good thing about it is that I can spend a lot more time with them in the garden.

They are always up to something and they keep me on my toes. If I'm having a bad day they seem to sense it and make an extra fuss of me...Great therapy..! Nothing like a cuddle from a Golden.

Dumb animals..? No way..!

Hi! I too have a dog (a Staff crossed with a collie!) who is adorable, but my big passion is genealogy! I do family trees for people going back several generations! Some people think it is boring but I find it fascinating and have found some interesting stuff!
Like Maz I love to natter and to meet up with friends when I can and, like Jill, I love forensic crime mysteries too!

So many dog people!! Where are all the cat people? eh! I have a black and white kitty called Mr T. He has 3 legs and is to be honest, massive! We rescued him and its like having a child, i swear. he climbs up onto your chest and puts both front legs round your neck and really snuggles in. He also gets very insecure lol. When we got him I asked the rescue place for a more needy cat (not one that only minds its own business) God we got one! haha

I used to really love card making, but got bored of it lol. Im very into keeping in touch with friends coz its easy to loose contact when youre stuck in the house! Ive just bought a wii and its arrived today so that will be my new hobby when I get home Im sure lol

Verity I'm another Cat person as well but really love all animals. Used to breed Guinea Pigs/ Gerbils / Russion Hamsters for the Pet Shop but had to stop when the old arther started as Guineas need lots of vitamin C [ like we do ] and carrying all the veg home was just too much. We have a 16 year old Black cat [ Felix ] he has cauliflower ears and no teeth !! and a 4 year old cat " Mouse ". Well my daughter called her MAO but I found it difficult to say that so it got changed to Mouse. We had a beautiful Blue eyed White female for 14 years but sadly she died a couple of years ago.Oh god I miss her like crazy.

Like maz I love watching all the Antique shows and would love to go to an Auction. I like the Charity shops as well.

Verity! I'm a total cat person. I have a year old black cat. She is very feisty - nicks my earrings and throws them about the floor and has even been known to carry off my credit cards! She deletes messages on my answer phone and frequently deletes text when I am on the computer.

I also love gardening which is really unfortunately given how bad my joints are. I've been trying to propagate lots of plants this year and do things that don't involve heavy work. My garden looks fantastic at the moment as everything is flowering at once.

Jill, I used to have a tortoise when I was a kid. She/he was called Lettuce and got lost in the garden!

No not seen that one will have to look. Was it advertised not that long back ? Have you seen the Spainish one called Rec ? it's a bit like the Blair Witch one only it's a zombie. Trouble is it's obviously subtitled but it's a real shocker. Think the USA did a remake of it called Quarantine but it's rubbish compared to the original Spainish one.

Hey I well remember Stephen Kings Salem's lot connor - the Vampire was very well done - one of the best ones I've seen to say how old it is . Yes it did have David Soul in it I've got that one. maz I've watched the saw films but I don't know it's just too American , and samey , if you know what I mean. Now for a 1st rate horror / black comedy you can't beat British Dog Soldiers and Shaun of the dead. Outpost and Creep are great British horrors as well. Another Stephen King good film is Needful Things where interestingly the "Devil" cures one of the female charecters of her ra !! [ but only while she wears a necklace he gave her ]where do I get one of those ???? lol

I was an AA Patrolman back when Salems Lot was shown on TV. Part of my patch was Dartmoor. You know wide open spaces, regular fog and mist and odd noises from animals on the moor. It could be quite creepy up there.

Had to attend a breakdown in a desolate part of the moor one night and it was just after I'd watched Salems Lot. It was really foggy that night.

When I arrived this pretty tall chap was standing next to his broken down car and was wearing a longcoat and a hat. Initially I could not see his face and thought, "Oh S..T.!"

Anyway he turned out to be quite normal and not a vampire, but just for a moment there......

I won't forget that breakdown

LynnB - Ours was very scary - nothing hideous went on it was just the feeling you got. Mum+Dad used to say to me and little sis it's only your imagination. Times were hard back then so I suppose that a ghost was not on the top of their list of something to worry about !!

What I can't understand is that it all started after my Mum's Mum died suddenly in our house. So if it was her why were we so scared because she was such a lovely Nan and thought the world of us ??? Probably will never know - but I wouldn't go back there - if you paid me !!
