Can I just say that a miracle has occured..... haha Ive been feeling so much better since my first injection last weds and to top it off I had my first blood test results since I started. My CRP has gone from 52.4 to.......... wait for it.......... 3.7!!!! and my hb which is usually around 10 is now 12.5! I dont think ive EVER had blood this healthy! lol Doesn't it usually take time to kick in? I really wasn't expecting it to work! lol

Great news Verity !! Maybe because it was injected might have made it work quicker ???? Whatever - as long as it's working for you ;0)

That's great news verity My consultant has gone on holiday how dare he lol so i have to wait till next week to start my injections grrrr can't wait as i am sure i will feel better than what i do now. Really pleased for you Take care x

Verity AMAZING, im so pleased for U, especially b4 your hip ops....well done xxxx sally that is good news too, I feel like that sometimes, i enjoy myself, and think I shoukld be doing this more, but its getting to the first effort of doing somenthing in first place LOL....make sense.....xx

That's briliant news Verity, I'm so pleased for you. It's really funny that I don't even know you but that news really made me smile. I had exactly the same reaction when I started injecting. The rheumy wasn't convinced and thought it may have been a coincidence that my PA had calmed down a bit just as I started the etanercept. But, having injected twice a week for 7 years I know that if I miss one I notice it. And when I had to stop it when I fell pregnant I was having difficulty with my PA within a week. I can't wait to start back on it again once bubba is born. I wish everyone with arthur could go on etanercept straight away and have such wonderful results. Enjoy the freedom xxx

Although today I feel like death..... Had 25mg of MTX and etanercept last night and I feel horrendous : ( Like I have a stinking hangover lol Just moving around makes me feel sea sick lol

thats how i feel now on 20mg mtx and 1g sulpha.. just been told to stop taking the sulpha as i'm being sick and feeling of nausea.

sulpha is nasty....Paul r u going to consider the Anti TNF meds? im on MTX along with Enbrel...works well together, know we r all different, but sulpha really made me ill...cant remember the dose i was on, kinda remember it was a reasonable dose....came off it, felt lot better....
