Hi Jill, I know how important the exercises are so Im gonna make a point of doing it everyday, no days off. Make time so im not rushed. I have to do it. I cant cock this one up. To be honest I am worrying a bit about the recovery and what if I do it wrong or something lol. Im being stupid arent I? How are you feeling? Any ideas when your op will be yet?

Thanks Lynn! Im feelin pretty ropey at the moment. The MTX stopped holding me stable about 3 months ago. Im OK, just not doing much at all lol

Hey Lucy, Im a data analyst. I sit on a computer all day and have to hit targets n stuff. I enjoy it, the people are great and i can drink as much tea as i want lol I have a LOT of appts at the mo. Almost every day! Theyve never not paid me and ive got the time off for my op too. A couple of years ago I was quite depressed and they paid for a counsellor to come into work to see me once a week. It was the only one ive seen that actually helped. I work as hard as i can when im there to try and make up for not being there. Im really lucky : ) one less thing to worry about.
Have ya got crutches to help ya get about?

Lucy n Verity, thanks for askiing about me, well still waiting to see spine surg for fusion, was delayed due to neck and whiplash, had MRI, shes putting me in nextr avail clinic re the spine....now ive got to have the Gall bladder removed, its early days yet, only went last monday.....like i said b4, met a gal penny in hosp, her stone is stuck in the gallbldder biliary duct...so its on the move, and cld end up in ther pancreas, still not got a date, and she saw the surg back in hops 6 weeks ago.....heard nowt!!!

But me, little ole Jillykins, she wont be going thru that...Oh no, Trust me, I will get a date within two weeeks, lets have a bet on it, wait till easter is over, and I will get a date for my OP date for GB 2 weeks!! see what i DO IS pester them, make a nusiance, tell them how much pain i r in , and previous medical history, bores the arse off the secretary and she will do her best to get u in.......great what ya learn over the years Innit!!...x i will be happy to have this removed by end april, want to go on cancellation list but with the the enbrel, have to come off it 2 weeks b4 any op.....anyway....WATCH THIS SPACE HEHEHEHAHEHAHHEHAHEHAHEA.....I WILLL HUNT DOWN THAT SURGEON, COS HE SHOPS IN SAINSBURYS!!!!!!...ps...hes a dammm miserable unsmiling, snoooty, up his own ass, so doubt he wld be so helpful if i grabbed him in the aisle, sobbing and pleading to remove my annoying little GB in nxt surgery..........but hey, ya never know, cos i knew he fancied me bigtime, even tho my fella was there, I saw the twinkle in his Beeedy little brown eyes, me knows when a surgeon fancies me.......lololololol ...omg gals im sooooooooooooo losing it.......!!! Ha ha Jill I am sending the men in white coats for you youv'e defo lost the plot!!!

Na seriously its good you can still have a giggle with all that going on it isthe best way to handle the stress me thinks :)

You seem to have the hunting the surgeon thing down to a t.....my friend works at the hospital and she said thats the way to do it just keep mithering and making a nuissance of ourself and thy will get you in quicker. Never heard anyone whos had their gall bladder removed, ho long does it take to recover from that Jill?

Verity it sounds like you have a great employer there and I bet that has taken the stress levels way down. I'm kinda just thinking tough at the moment if I have to give up my job I will just look for a new one as my health has to come first.

I have crutches but my lil arms and elbows are also badly affected by RA so I can use them for long without them becoming sore. Do you use them hun?

How long did they say it would tae you to recover from the double hippy my nw hippy freiend he he. I'm a nosey biatch hope you dont mind.

Will you have a lot of support? I feel like my bf is my bleeding carer at the moment and not my lover :(

What are you both up to for the bank holiday out or nowt? (see me being nosey again ha) x

LOL lucy, 6 weeks to recover, keyhole im hoping to get, but wont know until he he puts holes in three places, if all goes well, keyhole, 2 dyas in, if oPEN SURGERY, 4/5 Day...OOops caps soz....the gb breaks down the fatty and other foods we eat, the liver delivers the bile into the GB, etc, but can live without it, apparently the Liver can readjust the amount of bile to the stomach to breakdown the foods, if its not doing a good job, give me meds for that.....simples!!

Hi girls! Keep on at em Jill! You will definately have your appointment in the next to weeks. No doubt about that, lol. I was incredibly surprised how soon mine was so you can do it! Jill, is that 6 weeks to recover for a normal person or......erm......you? haha I know youre not as simple as that. Get ya baps out Jill, that'll sort all ya probs. You'll have surgeons queueing hehe.

Lucy no matter how much ya get paid, if its making you worse then its not right for ya. i dont have crutches, my arms are too useless to have them. Not gonna be able to go far after the op but ill be upright at least lol I'll find out more about the op nest Tues when I have my pre op but theyve said it'll be a bit longer than having one done. Depends how I heal I guess.
My OH is findin it harder than he lets on I think. We cant be very very physical incase he knocks me wrong and Im in to much pain to even contemplate sex at the mo. Even if I could Im so bloody tired that I just wanna sleep. He's findin it tough but he's coping really well. He's very patient lol. I can get quite irritable when im in extreme pain. Not pleasant to be around lol How long have ya been with your bloke Lucy? How do you manage 'romanticly' if ya dont mind me askin?
Oh one thing, didya ask the surgeon if you could keep/see your old hip? Im tempted!

Take care both xx

Verity I heard that it takes a bit longer to recover having two but at least its all done in one swoop then hopefully you'll be hip pain free.

I have only been with him a year and sometimes I think is it worth the hassle as it makes me sad that I cant have a normal relationship and weve never had the really good first stages as I was getting worse as we met but hey ho hes good about it all and helps me alot. Trouble is I dont want a carer but I have to bleeding put up with the way it is at the moment.

I didnt ask him if I could look at never mind keep my hip no lol might do didnt even think about it to be honest ha

Let me know how your pre op go's mine was over fairly quickly, just lots of questions and bloods, swabs etc.

Chat soon

Ha ha you too are both off it round it up it on it and off it.

There are a few people from the UK on the forum that have had their hips done so ive asked them a few questions as you can chat to the surgeons as much as you want but theres nowt like having had it done yourself. But theyre not as friendly as on here lol x

Glad your pre op is all done Verity your well on your way now eh just like me.

Jill its madness that they make people keep being checked with a condition like ms it really is. I can understand with some conditions that may improve but not ms. Dont you just feel like telling them to live with the pain and discomfort and imobility for even a day and then say people should reapply????? Silly silly silly!!!

Hope your both ok chat soon
