Hi, have any of you used alternative treatments or herbal meds? I have heard that tumeric and honey helps? Any ideas or experiences would be great to hear

Was thinking of having some reflexology done as have heard that can help ..... but not sure as since having RA i don't like anyone touching my feet!!! My mum bless her got me one of those necklace's was suppose to help but wore it for about 4 months and felt no different. Was thinking about changing the way i eat as certain foods are suppose to cause flare ups etc.. might give that a go first and see if that changes anything lol

there was a recipe for tumeric tea on 'grow your own drugs' on BBC2 the other night. Tumeric is supposed to be anti inflammatory. Think I might try it but you have to take it for a long time I am told. I haven't food any foods make any difference but that's just me.

Hi Toots, I find that acidic foods like lemons, oranges, cheese etc make me flare I cant even sniff tomatoes without flaring up. Cider Vinegar and honey can help but you have to drink A LOT of it to get the desired effects.
