Thats great news Jill! Finally, you'll have one less pain. Did they give you an estimate of how long you'll have to wait?
Take care xx

Hi Guys, thanks for your replies,

Lucy how r u copin? xx Sally sorry ya in so much pain, im also in pain with joints, left hand swollen a bit today...get well soon xx

Verity, only saw him Monday, but going on the waiting list, will wait a week then ring ther secretary!! I didnt want to be snooty and ask to put me on as urgent,as i know two people at the mo that r still waiting for their ops when I was in hosp few weeks back, and one person, now a m8, was told she wld get hers asap and first on the list, that was 5 weeks ago....the secretary keeps giving her the run around, and her stone is stuck in the bilary duct....shes in agony....But i did say that I do need it asap, as my spine op has now been delayed becos of the GB op!

Monica, did u have keyhole or open surgery? and did u recover ok, he told me its major surgery whether he does it Keyhole or open...6 weeks recovery! stay well gang xx

Hi Jill

My op was open surgery, but while they were taking my gallbladder out, because it was so swollen, they thought they would take my appendix as well, which i was informed of a day later. Altogether it took me about 3 month before i could walk properly. But do not let that put you off, i did get an infection while in hospital. I was in for two weeks altogether, but i am talking about 1981 when mine was done. Dont worry, its all different now, you will be fine.
Take care, thinking of you, let us all know when your op will be.

Love and best wishes

Monica

KJ thanks, a gal I met in Hosp, named Penny, we r m8s now, her mazrble size stone is stuck in her biliary duct! she is in agony, when she left hosp(week b4 me, she was in for a few days, me two weeks,) anyway, they said she wld have her op asap....6 weeks later she is still waiting for a date!...im getting worse each passes, the GB is giving me stabbing pain etc, cant eat without an attack...nitemare! im also on Opiates for good old Artha, Imagine what the pain wld be without my meds.....shes on Pethidine for pain now!! so I feel as we r having same surgeon(snooooty sod he is too, he took my thyroid out in 94)I feel i will get the same treatment!! the runaround I mean.......anyway r u coping at the mo?? lots love J
