Hi Sarah!

Like Jill, I take each day as it comes. Im really bad for making loadsa plans, thinking I'll be ok, but when it comes down to it I get knackered straight away and end up disappointed I didn't do everything. Its stupid! lol
Where does the arthritis affect you?

Hi Sarah! WELCOME! Everyone is lovely here, so understanding, helpful and thoughtful. I am 33 have Psoriatic arthritis most places and in tendons and my mantra has become "Tomorrow's another day!" but like Verity I plan too much and get disappointed in myself when I can't deliver. I'm on depot steroid injections, oral steroids so therefore Alendronic acid and Adcal D3. Methotrexate injections and due to current flare i'm on Morphine. I'm relatively new to this forum but it's so easy to fit in so I look forward to getting to know you better :-) Abbie XXX

Hi Abbie, altho u have been in couple of weeks, feels like U have been conbtributing to our fab forum for months....huge compliment, so thanks for being here ...Sarah u will learn a lot in here, how others try and cope and realise that we r all like u, we get so down, fed up, bored with ourselves, fed up, in pain, another flare up etc etc.... But I beleive this forum is helpful to the many members that come in, lots of us pop in daily, some just now and again, but I find its better that I pop in daily, U know, keep the gang in order! LOLOL....we also talk about things 'Off Topic', becos at the end of the day, everything we do in life affects our well being, so if your stressed bevos u have seen a Nutty Doctor or painful dentist, anything, we talk about......one of the most popular topics we mention is DLA, disability Living Allowance, are u claiming this? hope so, beos we r all entitled to it...Jill

Oh Jill DLA lol I started claiming it 7yrs ago for a different condition. My condition worsened so documented it on my next form and my levels were cut Doh! Appealed and got original level reinstated. Was diagnosed with Arthur last Aug and more infirm for want of a better word but too scarred to re apply. In my town If u have higher mobility u get blue badge but i'm currently on lower from before but now can Only walk short distances and that's with a stick. What do I do. Taxi's are costing me a fortune.

Is there a Citizens Advice Bureau where you live Abbie ? They helped me get DLA after I failed the 1st time. They might be able to advise you about your situation.
