Subject: Advice please

I am new here and find the forum very interesting. I have oa in my knees and the pain is constant, i take cocodamol but the pain is still there. I also have diclofenic (which i can only take when the pain is unbareable as i have suffered heart problems) but even they dont seem to work now. I am 64 what I would like to know is it too soon to ask for replacement surgery ?

Hi Babs...Sorry about the pain you feel...I don't know about replacement surgery, but have you tried any natural products for your oa? There are 100% natural products that have been proven to help oa sufferers tremendously...I would tell you more if you are interested...all the best...

I dont think it is too soon. I am 39 and have been referred to a consultant- the GP said "don't be surprised if they offer surgery"!
I dont know what sort of arthritis I have, but have had it 19 years and I take cocodamol as nothing else works for me, it has got to the point where I am struggling each day to do the basics and it is affecting my sleep
So make a GP appointment- I guess they will decide for you too, but emphasise how bad it has gotten for you...I will if you will!!

Babs - have they referred you to any type of Physio ? I understand that this is painful but they may refer you to Hydrotherapy as this is the only type of Physio I could have. It was great to be in the warm water with all the weight taken off the painful joints. Your GP should refer you to specialist treatment if you tell them how much pain you are in ?
