Subject: Psoriatic Arthritis, Etanercept (Enbrel) and Pregnancy

Has anybody recently been or currently pregnant and have Psoriatic Arthritis?

I'm only five weeks pregnant and have been told to stop my twice weekly injections of Etanercept (Enbrel).

I've been on this treatment for 8 years since having bilateral hip replacements aged 22 and it has worked wonders for me. I was advised that the pregnancy would help with the PA symptoms. I've only missed three injections and my joints are already sore and stiff.

I'd like to know what other women's PA during pregnancy is/was like.

I really hope someone on here can share their experiences of pregnancy with me (good and bad).

After only a week and a half off the enbrel I'm showing symptoms of a newly affected joint and am gonna keep my fingers crossed that the hormones soon kick in and take over!!!
