Hiya Verity,Referring to my blood sheet yet again.
Alk phos levels.........Guide to normal liver function. Can be elevated in bony inflammation or disease. Will also be elevated in active inflammation.
Look for persistently high levels.
Normal 20-140

I think it might be CRP that you mean? Dont know of a CRB??
(Just get my good old blood sheet.)
CRP -c reactive protien.....Normal 0-5
Guide to the digree of inflammation. More responsive than esr but again can be altered by infection or trauma.
Hope that helps Jill xx

Hi Angela...LOL im stooopid, I did mean CRP(was thinking about my daughters CRB check that she needed for college for placement) Doh! yes the CRP recently was 29.....I was admitted to hosp a few weeks back due to terrible tummy pain, and low bp 88/52, in all day, bloods taken, after 6ish hours, agreeed that i was 'constipated', to a point i agreed, but looking back, and since seeing my fab GP again, he looked at my bloods and said about the CRP being high, showing inflamation, dont understand Y the hosp didnt pick that up. becos I do believe that iver had a tummy bug, coincidence taht ive been condtipated(lazy with the laxatives) Not now tho LOLOL, but even now, lost weight)Yayyyy kinda) But been starving, if I eat, feel ive got a blockage in middle of my breasts, and when i swollow, feels like I have alump there.l....seeing My gp nxt week, wont see anyone else, hes been away on his hols, Now taht U have told me that Normal shld be 0-5, makes me think my tummy is inflamed.....was told quite a few years ago(for life of me, cant remember who, must have been my old GP surgery) that I have Inflamatory Bowel disease...will check up with my gp, I do have Proctitis.....thing is Angela, this has scared me, the pain took my breath away, and felt very faint!......the pain is still there, but say level 2, instead of level 10........do U think that the CRP affects the stomach/re inflamation? will ask Gp of course, but im feeling that I need a tube down my Oesofaguususuussus....lol cant spell that word. think u know what i mean tho......cos U r soooo cleffa, thought U Must know x...btw how many grandbabies have u got?..... I want some....no fair! lol

Hey Jill, I am far from clever,I only know about all this because I never have my nose out of the computer or books about our conditions.I have never been bright, its common sense thats got me through life.lol.
I think any inflammation can show up in either esr or crp,I remember when my crp was 83, I hardly had any pain in my joints, and didnt feel bad at all, but when i had a endoscopy, and colonoscopy, I had gastritis and diverticulitious (cant spell it) so maybe it could be your stomach.
I have 6 grandkids 3 boys aged 8, 13, and 16, and 1 girl aged 12 and identical twin girls aged 6.
We all started having babies early, I was 18, and both my daughters were to, so I was nana by the time I was 37. Luv em to bits.
xx

Jill,I always used to feel like I had a babies foot just under my rib cage on my right side after eating, still do now sometimes, but I wouldn't say with pain, more discomfort.
Mind when I had the test and they found gastritis ,I saw on the graph that the stomach is on the left side, so that confused me???
I wonder if it could be something to do with the gaul bladder, or simply is it from eating without chewing enough (I know I do this its straight down the hatch in minutes, and you are supposed to chew your food like 30 times each mouthful or something.)I really dont know the answer.
Lucky you with the weight loss at least something possitive comes out of all this crap .. lol.
I am piling it on again now I feel okay, must knuckle and gain some prtion control lol.I blame winter it just makes me want to stuff my face lol.
