Subject: feeling really low

Hi guys well not been on for a while been so hectic first had that awful bug it lasted about 5 days so really took it out of me.well been really bad with arthur today fingers so swollen although they nevr stop hurting and are alsways a bit swollen just about fedup this has been a year in may and i feel like ive come so far and now its stopped and got as well as its going to. Got hospital in april as they cancelled my one in january because we had the snow. And also thing that makes me feel worse as well is i find small things like having a shower so hard to do getting in and out of the bath is awful sometimes so frustrating i could cry. And to top it all we live in a council house and had really bad damp and mildew in our room and the bathroom so last year they put vent in bedroon , didnt work then they did a fungal wash and painted wall swith special paint and this winter it all came back . well i had brought some of those cnvas wardrobes although they still cost me 70 pounds each they were just temp. anyway wanted to see how bad the damp was again so got hubby to move everything and i am devastated all behind his wardrobe on his clothes and shoes are mildew and behind the one with my things on the black mildew is terrible all over the canvas totally ruined and the walls are black up to about 3 foot high. council damp people came out and they want to put insulation boarding up as walls are solid walls and so cold so its all down to condensation they say. I just dont feel this is helping me at all and i hate going to sleep in there with all the mould , does anyone have any advise for me feeling really down and hurting at the moment thanks :( x

Hi Della I get mildew and black fungus in my house, I bought a dehumidifier last year which takes out the miosture in the air and it has helped a bit. Hope you get something sorted soon.

Sorry to hear you are feeling so low Della. Those humidifiers are good, my daughter has one, and she got her her walls that were always wet, boarded and what a difference it has made.
On the other hand though if you are having difficulty in the bathroom to, would there be any chance of you considering asking the council to be rehoused, due to your condition? Do they have any council bungalows in your area?

((((((hugs 4 Dellla))))) xxx Della sorry to hear ya having a bad time, Angela is right, U cld well be offered re housing, especially a bungalow...get your GP to write to your council explaining tha the damp is making u worse, more flare ups, and far far stiffer than someone that isnt in a damp house.....fungus and mold can affect your breathing too, not daying that to worry u, but it is something that u cld aslo mention, even if it int, tell them ya chest feels tight and wheezy.....anything to get a place that isnt damp....I wld go nuts if I lived in a damp house, trust me , id be down there daily, whinging and moaning....u r entiteld to do that....make a nuisance of yaself, my m8 did that and got a fab place in Battle,,,new house too!!!!....try stay pos ok...and get the council to pay u for those wardrobes!!!!! xxxx Jill

Hi Della, you sound like you need cheering up. Its part and parcel of the disease to have emotionally (and physically obviously! lol) bad days. I just tend to have a bloody good cry and get it out of my system!
Definately look into being moved, it sounds miserable at the moment and that aint gonna do your body any good.
Take care xx
