Subject: left joints ache when being used.

I am taking lamactil and have taken trileptal. I have pain in my left knee, left elbow, and left shoulder(but not in the wrist or ankle). I have never had a broken bone or dislocation in either joints. I am only 29 years old, and am sure not to have one the more common forms of arthritis. I have pain only on one side (reuhmatic has it on both sides), and I don't have psoriasis. The pain doesn't ache when I am lying down, just when I try and do some exercise.

Hi Patrick, it sounds like you really need some harder facts. Perhaps a look at the Arthritis Care website for more information could help. (linked from this site) Then I think the next step would be to go back to your GP/Consultant & discuss any questions that you still have with them.

Hope this helps - Good Luck
