Subject: been to see rhyummy today and
he said his not convinced it is arthriris evern though i havd the blood test done and was poss so he has taken more blood and added amitriptyline as well as my tramadol and paracetamol,feel reallly disapointed as was hoping to get some were, have to go bk in 6 weeks on march 22 anyone else had this?

Hi Krystal, sorry u feel disapointed, this often happens sadly, perhaps he isnt certain just yet, and wants to c how u get on in the next 6 weeks, 6 weeks is quite a good time in which to see if u get worse or better, any earlier and it wouldnt be long enough, he has taken u seriously tho, otherwise he would have said come back in 6 months, or closed your case...amitriptyline is for nerve pain and tramodol is a good pain killer, think tht has a small amount of morphine in them, they r quite strong if u havnt been on them b4, so stick with them, and ur body will get use to that med....keep a diary daily, so u can see any changes, and show him it.....it often takes a few visit b4 they give a definate diagnosis, as there r many health probs that can mimic athritis.....in a way, i wld be positive with his early findings, altho disheartning , i know, lets hope it int arthritis, but maybe just a viral kinda flare up, if that makes sense...members in here, if u think ive given Krystal incorret info, lol let me know.....in the past ive been given different diagnosis, also Krystal, there is a condition that is called fibromyagia(google this, cant remember all about that condition) but it causes nerve pain and aches and fatigue too.....not saying at all that u have that, just that it is a condition that feels like arthritis.......take care and stay positive...Jill x
