Subject: pain or pressure in ears tinnitus

Hi All
Have not been on here for ages, have been looking through the messages though and see that DLA is still a problem. All i can say is what i said ages ago, just always put your worse day down, does not matter how you are feeling that day, never put that you have things to help you, they will discount your dla straight away.
I have severe OA of neck, C4-7 T1 L4-5 S1 in spine, slipped disc. They will not operate , they say to much arthritis, it will cause more pain to fuse. Now i am having trouble with my right arm, shoulder and hand, my little finger i cannot bend properly. Have had nerve conduction tests, there is a weakness there which the doc feels is coming from the neck, which is what i have been saying for ages, but just fell on wet ground, Now i am having pain in my ears, pressure and tinnitus, all sorts of strange noises, even when i talk i hear a whistle, just wondered if any one else has had the same problem? At night it seems worse because of the quiet, hubby asleep, me lying awake half the night. Any help or advice appreciated.

I don't know if it's of any help Monica but a few months ago I was going very dizzy when I got up but only in the mornings. Had all sorts of tests for mini sroke etc but all [ thankfully ] normal. When the morning dizziness stopped it left me with ringing in my ears. Its very annoying but I've sort of got used to it now. The GP gave me some tablets but I take that many anyway because I'm diabetic/gall stones etc I thought I would just put up with it. At night I have to keep the tv on very low to disguise the ringing.

I've got OA of the neck and can't look up because I go very dizzy as well. The GP said it was probably a bout of Labrynthitis ? but still not sure. I would get back to your consultant [ or speak to their secretary ] or your GP.

Hope you get to sort it out as it drives you crazy !!

Hi Kayjay
I know what you mean about the dizziness, i had it really bad a few years back for 6months, the room at first just closed into itself as i tried to get up, it took my husband nearly an hour to get me up i was so scared. They told me it was labrynthitis, then Benign vertical something or other. I just get it now and then , especially when i turn over in bed. They have ruled out a stroke, but will see the nurse on tuesday.
I also use music to try and get some sleep. Thank you so much for your help.
