With regards the anti tnf, they took my score over the month when my CRP was the lowest its ever been! It now appears to be rising again lol. I had my rheummy appt and she looked at me as if I was putting it on because for that particular week my CRP had dropped to 8.8! Good news on the CRP but pretty shit because its never usually like that! Shes a patronising so and so and ive always had trouble with her. Since I was little. I told her that id been taking more painkillers and that id been in less pain because of it but she said dont be stupid, its the mtx thats making you better not the painkillers. As if I was putting my change in blood down to the painkillers?!? Come on, im not that stupid. Shes just always too eager to jump on anything i say. She told me how if the mtx doesn't suit me then im screwed because 'you have this illness for life you know' jeez you reckon! Also, last appt she said shed refer me to a guy that has worked with younger ppl to look into having my hip replaced so this time i asked her to refer me. she looked at me like a complete moron and asked why id want to do that and why shed refer me to this particular guy when 'they do hip replacements here you know'. It was her that told me all this in the first place and she was talking to me like id made it all up and that I was trying to make her out to be an idiot! Oh my god! So not eager to try again with the anti tnf just yet as i cant cope with the bitch from hell again at the mo. lol Flamin eck!

Anyway! Im not sure whats happening with DLA yet, just that ive been awarded it. Although now i have it im doing my own head in about it. Ive always been very into providing for myself and not having benefits so im finding it hard to deal with at the moment. Also, I dont wanna get used to it coz they could just take it away. Plus that makes me now officially 'disabled' and im finding it hard to come to terms with.

Sorry im rabbiting on. Just got a lot going on in the head at the mo and struggling to talk.

Thanks guys : )

Hiya Kylee,Crp stands for c-reactive protein, it is a protein and it rises in your blood if you have inflammation.
It is basically another inflammation marker to see how active your disease is.
Normal should be 0-5.

I wouldn't worry to much Shelzy, I feel great at the moment because my blood test to date is Esr/Crp is 46/37 and thats the lowest it has been for a long long time, I have been up as high as 103/79, and the rhummy didn't seem worried.
I do feel loads better to so it has got to make you feel better and better I reckon.

Yeh you should feel better, I wouldn't worry too much. It is high but some peoples CRP on here is in the hundreds! When I went on MTX my CRP went from 80 odd down to 8.8. Im not exactly feeling great though. It varies for everyone : )

Ive had a proper battle with her over the years. When I was young my mum used to come in with me and my mum and the consultant used to hate each other. My mum was very into alternative therapies which my consultant seemed to be very against. It was horrendous. I had to really prepare myself for every visit. Now Im older Im more able to ignore her stupid comments and trust how I feel but it still upsets and frustrates me. Youre definately not the only one that struggles with them!

That's brilliant news about your DLA Verity. Some interesting things you may not know. You are entitled to get a card for £5 that allows you to take a carer with you to the movies for free if you have higher rate mobility DLA. Also, not sure how old you are, but if you are into festivals - with higher rate mobility or care DLA you can get a free ticket to take a carer with you. Also, don't forget about the free bus pass. Really useful for getting around.
