I think its only if you get other benefits as well they give you £25 per month.I dont think you can get it if you only receive dla it has to be another benefit so no good for me :(

I thought it was £25 if the temperature has been 0 or below for a week if you are on DLA. Or if you are a pensioner you get £250 or £400 if you are over 80.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

I think Shaz is right about people on DLA not getting it. I think it's only if you get income support or another benefit. My Mum was on DLA and didn't get anything until the Labour govnt bought in the winter fuel allowance for pensioners.

some info for ya all......luckily we live in huge house....as u enter the hallway, either side is a room, frontroom and 2nd reception room, that room we have made our bedroom, moved after my hip op couple years ago .....IF u sleep on the ground floor with access to a toilet or shower(have to fit certain criteria) U can receive a discount on your council Tax....we get about 40.00(not massive amount) each month.....our council tax is usually £210...each month, so does help getting that discount.... all u have to do is ring Up the council tax dept, tell them u r registered disabled etc, and u then get it....no one came to check, they took my word....but a form Must be filled in, they send u one....so goood Luck
