I reckon they'll probably put you on some sort of anti inflammatory or pain relief (maybe both) and take some blood to see how active the disease is. Don't quote me on it but that would seem like the best place to start in my opinion! x

Hi Krystal, I was more or less assessed on my first appointment , the idea was to place me on a scale from 1-10 of my wellbeing and abilities of what I could and couldnt do, so that while on treatment they can moniter me and help me achieve a standard of management that is acceptable by me. A big thing that I have realised now is that initial appointmant has been crucial to getting a supportive report from the rhummy when I have applied for DLA so be aware to tell him or her of every discomfort you have and tell them what you cant do rather than try and manage, because further down the line you might need their help to prove your disabilities like I have had to do. Hope this helps

Hi Krystal first of all please do not go there and say oh its not that bad I can manage. or worse you don't tell them the full extent of your pain. if you don't you won't get much help. What you need to do is write down your worst days then take the list with you along with someone who can help you talk and support you and advocate if nececsary. It can be quite daunting on your first visit you get so many questions asked you can get quite dizzy so it s good to have someone independant there. Remember the more you can tell them about youer condition the more help you get Good luck and let us know how you get on Take care

hi take some one with u as u never remember what they say they will prob send u 4 blood test so can check for inflimation also ask where pros r depends on notes from doc took all my meds with me and did not look at them or even ask if i had them with me. they also said take sample they did not want that either lol . the nurse weighed me so put on some easy to remove shoes if u do not want to get weighed in them i leave them on . had second visit on 30th was sure he would tell me i wasteing his time but he said bloods had shown mild inflimation (even though no sighns of swelling when i went last time) so gave me some more tabs which r helping but i now rattle lol. but tell them the worst not best day
